About the book
The Cracks in My Dollhouse is a literary poetry collection exploring childhood, trauma and the ways neglect and withheld love shape a life. Through recurring imagery of broken toys, the poems follows a child who learns to understand the world before she understands herself.
What begins as a child’s noticing inevitably becomes a woman’s reckoning. It moves through memories of longing, generational trauma, attachment and mental health issues.
Intimate and unflinching, the collection examines how longing and survival intertwine.
This is not a story of neat endings, but of understanding.
