The Last Portrait of Us – Second Edition: An Anthology
Some people leave, but they never really leave us.
They stay in the songs we can’t skip, the places we avoid, the letters we never sent, and the memories we revisit when no one’s watching. Some stories don’t ask to be forgotten—they ask to be written.
After the love and response to our previous anthology, The Last Portrait of Us returns with its Second Edition. We’re looking for write-ups that explore love, loss, longing, nostalgia, goodbyes, and the memories that never truly leave us.

Some people leave, but they never really leave us. They stay in our memories, our unfinished conversations, and the parts of us they helped shape. The Last Portrait of Us is an anthology dedicated to the stories we never truly outgrow. We’re looking for write-ups that capture love, loss, longing, goodbyes, nostalgia, and the memories that continue to shape us. Whether it’s a relationship that changed you, a friendship that drifted away, a home you left behind, or words that remained unspoken – we want to read your story.
