About the Book

I’m Felix Thunder, and this is where my life turns upside down. It all started with me frying my school corridor—harmless enough, right? But before I knew it, I was caught in a whirlwind of secrets and danger that stretched beyond anything I could have ever imagined.

What if your nightmares weren’t just dreams, but warnings? Creatures I’ve only seen in the darkest corners of my mind are now chasing me, and apparently, it’s all because some ancient ultra-powerful beings couldn’t keep themselves from fighting like kids. Now, I have to steal the power of the sun itself, or risk watching the world fall into chaos.

Thrown into a world of shadows and forgotten realms, I’ve got unexpected allies, mysterious creatures that blur the lines between friend and foe, and a school hiding more than a few dangerous secrets. And the truth about who I am? It’s bigger and scarier than I could have ever fathomed, and it’s all tied to these cryptic figures who want me gone—fast.

Come with me on a journey into the unknown. But beware: this isn’t the kind of adventure you can walk away from.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR

Anoushka is a 12th grader who loves to write on the most poignant of subjects, unflinchingly, unfalteringly. She feels that writing helps her integrate her essence into the deepest crevices of humanity and beyond. She lives in Jaipur, a not-so-big and not-so-small city in India and, thus, the heat of the summer 2 p.m. and the bone-chills of the winter 9 p.m. both find a way into her writing. The chaotic thrumming of street vendors on Monday mornings and the lethargy of a dozing stray dog on brooding Sunday afternoons both find a way into her writing.

Her passion for storytelling began at a young age. At just ten years old, she wrote her first novel, Mystery of the Dazzling Death Games, and followed it up with another, a poetry collection Firefly Jumping tackling themes of love, resilience, and identity.

When she’s not writing or reading, you can find her engaging in spirited debates on socio-political issues or watching movies that challenge her perspective on life.
