About the Book

 

Malini is the journey of a girl who fights against corrupt moral policing practiced by society and institutions. It is a story of the fall and rise of a common girl who stands and decides to fight for the basic existential dignity of females in society. This book is a film script on which a film has not been made yet.

Prabhat Prabakar
A director, screenwriter

Working as a director in the Hindi television & film industry in the last 24 years. Born in Belarahi Village, under Madhubani District of Bihar. Primary education was from the village only. Graduated from Ranchi, Jharkhand. While in Ranchi he was associated with the commercial theatre for 10 years and rewarded with the top position in the National Youth Festival of India. Did a Diploma in Dramatics with a Gold Medal from “Bhartendu Natya Academy”, Lucknow, and later moved to Mumbai. Directed three regional films and more than twenty television shows. Currently directing a television show and doing research at Mumbai University on filmmaker Bimal Roy.
