About the Author

  Dr. Aman is an academic, researcher, and storyteller whose work bridges social reality, institutional analysis, and long-form narrative. With nearly a decade of teaching experience and extensive fieldwork across India, ranging from forests and villages to urban informal settlements, his writing draws deeply from lived social histories, folklore, and collective memory. These prolonged encounters with lived realities, silences, and inherited trauma shape his fiction. Six Sisters is his debut fiction novel, blending a dark mythological horror with social realism that draws upon folklore, social history, and the unseen consequences of injustice carried across generations.

Promira Banerjee treasured her experience working as a ghostwriter before embarking on her aspiration to become an author and storyteller. Her work intricately explores the depth of human experiences, blending the complexities of life with a delicate empathy. A Bengali by birth and a Tamilian by choice, Banerjee grew up between Calcutta and Pondicherry. She married young to an Indian Air Force officer, a union that afforded her the opportunity to traverse the vast and varied landscapes of India. These travels, coupled with her solo journeys across Europe and Asia, broadened her perspective and deepened her understanding of people, their hidden histories and untold stories. Despite holding a degree in Human Development, Banerjee’s genuine passion lies in history and the narratives often left unspoken. Writing became her solace, a cathartic process that helped her connect with others who understood the weight of living with Bipolar Disorder II and PTSD. A woman of many talents, Banerjee is a wordsmith, translator, activist, speaker, editor, and artist. Each of these roles adds a unique dimension to her narrative style, imbuing her work with authenticity and depth. An adventurous spirit, a strong sense of responsibility, and an unquenchable thirst for knowledge marks her personal journey. Now the mother of two grown children and five cats, Banerjee, embraces the nuances of an empty nest.
