Paper Towns Author Neenv Raju Akunuri’s book ‘Silent Screams’ wins The Popular Choice Award 2021

The author won the prestigious ‘Popular Choice Award’ for her book ‘Silent Screams’, published by Paper Towns Publishers, for garnering the maximum number of votes online.

When JK Papers and TOI announced the launch of the 3rd season for the AutHer Awards in December 2021, the author, being a nominee in the Popular Choice Category for Best Author, came as a genuine surprise, albeit a pleasant one.

The books were chosen, post multiple layers of screening, out of a whopping 1500 plus entries submitted by both publishers and individual authors for the coveted national award for women authors, the first of its kind in India. The jury considered books by women published in India between December 2020 and November 2021.

Vinita Dawra Nangia, Literary Director, AutHer Awards, in her inaugural speech, said, “The power a woman carries to nurture, create and heal endows her with a unique capability and positions her unquestionably as the centre of all existence and change around her.”

Neenv is a Market Risk Analyst with a few online short stories published to her credit. She enjoys reading and writing about complex human emotions, which often go unnoticed. Silent Screams is her debut work of fiction that explores her love for a good courtroom drama while questioning the various shades of human nature. She lives in Chennai and calls herself an experienced collector.

Silent Screams is an edge-of-the-seat courtroom thriller that has all the ingredients to be one of the best books of all time. The book is an insight into the world of murder and should be picked by anyone who is a fan of thrillers and mysteries.
